Configuring Dreamweaver for Uploading to Geocities

Graphic 1 shows how you should configure Dreamweaver to upload (FTP) your files from your harddrive to your folders on Geocities' server. In this case, happy122 is the User name or ID. Happy's Geocities' address would be www.geocities.com/happy122.

If you cannot connect with this configuration, try deleting Host Directory name; just leaving it blank except for the beginning single forward slash / as in Graphic 2. In Dreamweaver 2, I connected to my Geocities site with the Host Directory filled in as in Graphic 1. But when I tried to connect with Dreamweaver 3, I was unsuccessful until I left the Host Directory blank except for the opening forward slash as seen in Graphic 2.
